Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect
When you use SocialNex.ai, we collect information you provide directly to us, including your name, email address, phone number, company name, billing information, and any other information you choose to provide. We also collect information about your website when you request an audit, and we automatically collect non-personal information such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referring URLs through cookies and similar technologies.
2. Information We Access From Connected Google Accounts
When you connect a Google account to SocialNex.ai through Google OAuth, we request only the scopes required for the specific features you have asked us to enable. The data we may access falls into the following categories:
- Basic profile data (name, email address, profile picture) — used solely to identify your SocialNex account and display who is signed in.
- Google Business Profile data (business name, address, phone, hours, categories, locations, posts, reviews, photos, Q&A, insights metrics) — used to display your listing inside the SocialNex dashboard, to verify your local listings against directories, to publish posts and replies you compose in SocialNex, and to surface analytics about your profile.
- YouTube data (channel metadata, video uploads, video metadata) — used to upload videos you have authored to your channel from SocialNex and to display your channel inside the SocialNex content calendar.
- Google Drive file metadata (filename, MIME type, and the file you select via the Google Picker) — accessed under the
drive.filescope, which limits SocialNex to files you explicitly pick. We use this only to attach the file you select to a SocialNex post or audit; we do not browse or index your wider Drive.
3. How We Use Google User Data
SocialNex's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically, we use Google user data only to provide and improve user-facing features that are prominent in SocialNex's interface. We do not use Google user data for serving advertisements, and we do not allow humans to read this data unless (i) you have given explicit consent for specific messages, (ii) it is necessary for security purposes such as investigating abuse, (iii) it is necessary to comply with applicable law, or (iv) the data has been aggregated and anonymized so it cannot identify any individual user.
4. How We Use Your Other Information
We use the non-Google information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve our services, to send you audit results and related communications, to respond to your inquiries, to process payments, to conduct analytics on our own platform, to comply with legal obligations, and to send you marketing communications (with your consent). You may opt out of marketing communications at any time.
5. Information Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide or improve the user-facing features you have authorized, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (in which case we will provide notice before your information is transferred). We use a limited set of subprocessors to operate SocialNex — including DigitalOcean (application hosting, managed PostgreSQL, and S3-compatible object storage), Stripe (payment processing), and transactional email providers — each bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations consistent with this policy. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
6. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) for all traffic to and from SocialNex, encryption at rest for our managed database and object storage, role-based access controls for SocialNex staff, and secure storage of Google OAuth refresh tokens. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to maintain industry-standard safeguards.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your account information and Google-connected data for as long as your SocialNex account is active, or as needed to provide the services you have requested. You may disconnect a Google account at any time from inside SocialNex or by visiting your Google Account permissions page. When you revoke access or close your SocialNex account, we delete the associated OAuth tokens and any cached Google user data within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes. You may also request deletion of any other personal data by emailing [email protected].
8. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, request a copy of your data in a portable format, ask us to restrict processing, or opt out of marketing communications. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected].
9. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to enhance your experience, keep you signed in, analyze usage, and assist in our marketing efforts. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.
10. Children's Privacy
SocialNex is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
12. Contact Us
